Garnet And Grain Shield Earrings

Sometimes when I am crafting a piece, I know it will be my favorite of the collection. Other times, the fave sneaks up on me. In this collection, these earrings turned out to be my favorites and I did not see it coming. Let us start with the focal gems: shield, rose cut quartz with garnet crystals inside are surrounded in fine silver. Accented by 3 marquise cut Hessionite garnet briolettes and fancy prongs on the bottom point. On the top edge, natural grain castings and a classic Kate Sydney handlebar give way to sterling French wires.
